As one can easily guess from the title the film is set in the war ravaged Srilanka and mainly focuses on the plight of innocent Tamils torn between the Srilankan Army and a Rebel group (LTTE) fighting for a separate nation for Tamils. Tamil Full Hot movie online watch them. (Ajay Nandhugi) is a Tamil youngster who aims to save his race by helping them to cross the borders with illegal boats. His love interest is Abinaya (Jeniffer) and on the day of their wedding a sudden air strike by the army displaces them from their native place.
Since the camp offered by the army men is equally life threatening, Victor, Abinaya and a few others including a aged couple who have lost their son and another poor couple with a toddler. Victor and his friends sail the boat however they loose the correct direction to reach Indian border.

The film starts with a voice over explaining the background of Srilankan Civil war. The initial scenes highlight the plight of innocent Elam Tamils and they are impactful. The writer-dirctor Ajay Nandhugi is concerned more about the people than the politics surrounding the Srilankan war. Though he abstains from taking sides, his guts in portraying the rights abuses including sexual violence meted out by the Srilankan army during the peak of the Civil war, deserves a heaps appreciation. He has also shown the negative side of the celebrated rebel group(apparently LTTE) who force the unwilling people to sacrifice there life for the cause of an independent land.
Ajay has also taken up the cause of the people who escape from their homeland to seek the refugee status for which they have to struggle and even loose their beloved ones before getting into a refugee camp. This untold story is narrated in a hard hitting manner
The fat boy shown wearing the uniform of a rebel and dreaming to become the Prime Minister of India is hilarious.
The second half has too many tearjerker episodes but it's not fair to expect comical or super hero stuff in such a film that cares to speak about an unspoken yet pertinent issue. However, if entertainment is the only reason that drives you to a movie hall, better stay off.
Having said this, people dying one after another breeds boredom beyond a point and this part could have been trimmed.
R.Sivan's Re-recording is one of the biggest plusses of the film since it aptly captures the mood of the scene and helps to make the necessary impact. The first song is hummable while others are passable. V.K.Ramraj's Cinematography is another plus particularly in the boat sequences. The VFX team has also done a neat job.
Voice synchronization is a let down and Srilankan Tamil accent spoken by most of the characters including the lead lady, could have been better Ajay and Jennifer have given neat performances. The old couple and the actor who has acted as Kumar the selfish guy, have acted well. However the change in Kumar's character was quite guessable.
The film has a few glitches but it attempts to speak a hard hitting fact that many of us have failed to notice. The making is also certainly not poor. Team Ravana Desam deserves a pat for that..
