Initially, her father was totally against her goal of pursuing an acting career and joining the very complicated film industry. Even when father was opposing, Amala’s brother was there for all the time to give her full support and helping her to attain goal. Later on, father was forced to accept his daughter’s decision of becoming an actress.

In spite of her busy acting schedule, Amala Paul has successfully completed her graduation course. In fact, she has completed it with flying colors by scoring a total of 88%. She got ‘A’ grade in a cinema related subject of her degree course. Early in her acting career, Amala had changed her screen name to Anakha. It was the great Tamil film director Samy who insisted her to change the name because the industry already had a popular actress named Amala. However, after the failure of her picture named ‘Sindhu Samaveli’, she decided to use her real name as on-screen name too, as she had a feeling that the name Anakha had fetched her bad luck.

Amala had important and great stage of life when she took a break from her studies for acting. At that time, the very popular Malayalam director Lal Jose came across her modeling portfolio. Then she decided to try her luck in Tamil film industry. At first, she signed and worked for a low-budget comedy film Vikadakavi which is not released yet.

The second tamil film was also a low budget film Veera Shekharan which is considered as Amala’s debut film in Tamil. Amala had played the lead role in the film but it did not proved to be a notable character and she was tagged as a minimal performer. Then Amala worked with director Samy for a controversial film Sindhu Samaveli released in 2010. In this film, she played the role of a character named ‘Sundari’ who enters into an illicit relationship with her father-in-law. The movie ended as a disastrous flop but finally Amala got little recognition for her acting skills. Subsequently, she was offered to play the lead role in a romantic drama movie called ‘Myna’.

Just when the vibrant thoughts of “Thala Deepavali” seems to fade away, here comes “Thala Pongal” and never sumptuously. And again just when the critics start to write of this man – Ajith as someone who knows only to carve a niche in style and chic, here he comes in an out and out commercial entertainer with tremendous colors. Siruthai Siva as he is called, comes up with a story that is not out of the box, however a racy screenplay and Thala’s immense presence Tamil Movie and valor takes the ball out of the boundary. How has it fared out, let’s have a detailed look!

All of us may have used the bus service and bought a ticket from the conductor. But not many of us stop to think how it would have been for the first time. 'Jannal Oram' is a journey from the very beginning, to an interesting destination on a thrilling ride. Karu Pazhaniappan has brought 'Ordinary' from God's own country, added Tamil flavours to it and served it in an interesting tale by the window, on a two-hour journey, 'Jannal Oram'.

Subbaiah dreams of becoming the Chief Minister one day, and is introduced Tamil Movie to reality on his first day as a bus conductor with the Tamil Nadu transport. He takes charge as conductor of the sole bus service between Palani and Pannaikadu. Subbaiah is introduced to the gregarious Karuppu, the driver who he has to travel with. The two set out from Palani, picking up passengers on the way and ferrying them to Pannaikadu, where they stay over night and make the return trip the following day. In their journey, they befriend the inhabitants of Pannaikadu, and the two are treated very much as people of their own village. Rajesh as Vinayagam, fondly called Anna Sir, Ramana as Justin, Vidharth as Saami, Poorna as Nirmala David and Manisha Yadav as Kalyani play roles key to the story.

After the sad demise of her father, Nirmala David is adopted by the school teacher Anna Sir (Vinayagam), who later decides to get her married to his own son Shiva, who works in Surat. While Nirmala the teacher, waits for Shiva's return so that they tie the knot into happy wedded life, Justin evinces interest to marry the same girl. Justin is an ambitious and angry young man, who gets dejected by the failure, but chooses not to do anything about it. Karuppu is the flirtatious kind, but unoffensive and a simpleton at heart. Despite shouldering tough family responsibilities, he does not Tamil Nadu transport. In their journey, they befriend the inhabitants of Pannaikadu, and the two are treated very much let it show on his face. Subbaiah meets Kalyani in the bus and immediately develops liking to her. The two eventually fall in love after crossing a thick sheet of coy resistance. Saami is a familiar face in the village and a helping hand to all. Robust and physically strong, he is called in for assistance on almost all regards. After his father committed suicide, Saami had taken over the responsibility left behind by his dad, as the dam operator. The whole of first half takes time to carefully drive in all this detail and let it settle in our mind, and then the movie gets into the actual story.

With the village festival, as well as Nirmala's wedding date nearing, Shiva decides to surprise his family and friends, turning up a little earlier than the intimated date. It is on the same fateful day that Karuppu gets too drunk to handle the bus in the dark, and Subbaiah takes charge to ferry the vehicle across to Palani, from Pannaikadu. In the dark winding roads, someone suddenly falls in front of the bus, just as Subbaiah pulls it to a halt. But it seems too late, hot scenes as the man is already injured. Scared by the reversal of roles and the eventual fatal accident, the driver and conductor pass on the unidentified man to a passerby, to get him admitted in the nearest hospital. When it dawns, the two realize it was Anna Sir's son Shiva who had met with the accident, and they rush to find out how he is doing. Surprisingly, there is no news of him being admitted in any hospital nearby. What arrives eventually is the news of Shiva's suicidal death, off a faraway hill. Why wasn't he admitted to the hospital by the stranger? How did Shiva die? Who is the stranger in the dark? Was it an accident or a murder, and why? Answers to all this is what 'Jannal Oram' constitutes of.

Vimal has an appealing screen presence as a conductor new on the job. The first few days when he struggles to get accustomed to the job and the new ambience are portrayed with simplistic originality. Manisha comes around as an unassuming yet smart girl, who feels hot scenes  the responsibility heavy on her shoulders, post the demise of her father. The charm of a little girl does not leave Manisha's face at any point in the story, and it is she who forms a pillar to the sharp turn that the story takes, slowly unfolding all the answers. Poorna is a responsible woman, with relatively minimal screen presence, yet strong role in the film. It is not often that Parthiban takes up a role, and his mere presence is proof of the pudding that the story is nothing like anything we have seen so far. The procedural introduction of characters and the practice to get used to who's who, would have been a drag, but for Parthiban's impromptu presence. As Karuppu, Parthiban has played a rigid hot scenes  her supporting character. Vidharth here is a surprise package! As the story unfolds, it may seem predictable, but it is only at the fag end that the picture clears out on a heavy flashback.

With so many movies these days, wrapping up briefly on just a few prominent characters, 'Jannal Oram' is a lot to take in and digest. The film has a solid story, which begins only a little further into the screenplay, as it takes that long for all of the many characters to sync in. However, you may even be familiar with the narrow streets in Pannaikadu and the winding route from Palani by the time the actual story begins. Though it would have been abrupt to start the narrative before giving a clear picture about all characters, it seems rather too elaborate in a time when most movies are short and quick.

Pannaikadu is a beautiful place, and so is the long winding lanes on the mountainous terrains between Palani and the small village. With a major portion of the movie having shot in and around a bus in dangerously high and narrow locations, it takes an expert to bring the feeling to light, and Arbhindu Saara has done justice to the script in every way. 'Jannal Oram' is a story oriented film, with not much importance to the dreamy dance sequences. But Vidhayasagar's music is a welcome relief at places where the story seems to get too heavy on the audience. Breaking the traditional folk theme for song in the village's annual festival, 'Aasa Vecha Manasula' is an interesting change and also a turning point in the story. Editor in the movie also needs special mention, in making the rural concept look as appealing to the urban audience as possible.

J.C.Daniel is highly educated and belongs to a well to do family in Trivandrum a main city in Travancore Province (Part of Today's Kerala). He learns the art of Cinema and passionate to make a film of his own.

With the support of his wife Jannet (Mamta Mohandas) who accepts to sell their property for Daniel's passion and a few other friends he starts ground work for the maiden Cinema of the Malayalam land. He establishes a films studio of his own and christens it as The Travancore National Pictures.

Tamil Movie Hot Scenes Biography

Source (google.com.pk)
First thing to be mentioned is the films never evokes the feel of watching a dubbed movie. The lip sync of almost all the characters is cautiously well maintained. Special thanks to Yograj Balasubramaniam of Never Give Up films who has released the dubbed version.

The film starts 1928, with Daniel visiting Dada Sahib Phalke considered as the Father of Indian Cinema who made the first Indian film and Nataraja Mudaliar who followed suit in Madras. The film aptly captures and hot scene the Initial days of Indian cinema and the way the films were being made in those days. Getting to see the Phalke directing a film and editing it in the processing room, Travancore people getting introduced to cinema with the non-talkie films of Charlie Chaplin, Heroine's high handedness (that is relevant even today), the way the non-talkie films were shot, Film distribution and Marketing techniques of that period etc are relived in a appreciable manner. Kudos for the home work of writer Director Kamal  to bring authenticity.
The film that speaks about the man, whose life was turned into disaster by the Caste differences of those days, makes the necessary impact without overdose of emotions or tearjerkers. The film also sheds light on the caste angle even in bureaucracy refusing to recognize Daniel's efforts without naming anyone and doing this in a non fictional story stands proof for the cleverness of the Director.

Rosamma's character has been etched with finesse. When she is asked to sit in front and hot scene of everyone she sits on the floor instead of the bench and this aptly brings out the inferiority inculcated by the dominant castes in her mind.  The scene where she is prohibited from watching the first show of the film she has acted in along with the dominant caste people, is heart wrenching.

The film is strictly for those who would love to watch biopic subjects and would not mind the documentary feel that cannot be helped beyond a point in such films. The film hardly includes anything that can be expected in a normal commercial fare.

Prithviraj gives a solid performance as young Daniel and his performance as the unhealthy old man is not jarring on any count. This is one of the films that can be recounted for Mamtha's acting prowess. She excels with the right mix of emotions. Chandini as Rosamma is the show stealer. It wont be an overstatement to state that the expressions in her eyes helps to convey the emotions in a better way and justifies the limited number of dialogues for her character. Srinivasan is convincing and the cameos Nedumudi Venu and Thalaivasal Vijay deserve a mention.

There are only two songs in the film that runs close to two hours and the composer M.Jayachandran has rendered it in an ear pleasing manner. Re-recording passes muster.

Venu's Cinematography aptly captures the beauty of Kerala and Southern Tamilnadu in pre-independence era.he film which is the result of Kamal's passion to explore the passion of one of his forefathers, J.C.Daniel deserves rousing reception.

'Jannal Oram' is an interesting journey, which turns a thriller in the second half. Stopping by to take note of most of the small emotions and gestures we miss in our everyday rush, the film is an interesting tale of a humble small town. The seat by the window that slides the captivating show of passing images is an interesting spot to sit at and ponder over the small things we fail to take notice of. 'Jannal Oram' is a careful attempt to spotlight these very small things in the life of a humble village. In all, it is a fairly predictable journey with sudden twists and turns on the way and a totally unpredictable destination.
